All T-shirts Shipped, Book Almost Ready for Press

Book should be going to press super soon. We're just tweaking a few pages and waiting on info from a couple of photographers. It won't be in bookstores or Amazon until July or August, but, if all goes well, you guys will have it in May, waaaay before everyone else.

US-based backers who pledged for shirts should probably all have them by now and all international ones have now shipped. I am still kind of stunned at how much postage has gone up for international parcels. A shirt that costs a little over $3 to send 3,000 miles from California to New York can cost $22 in shipping, as soon as it goes over an ocean.

As you guys all get your stuff, we would love love love to see you with your books and everything. If you do post photos or do unboxing videos, please post them to social media with the hashtag #razorcandi and let us know. We'd love to you rocking your RazorCandi goodies!

Book Proof, T-shirts Care

The first book proof is in from the printer! Yay! We'll probably have one more round of proofing, after this one, just to get everything perfect, but we're super excited about how this is coming out. It looks so good, if I do say so myself! Can't wait to share it with you all.

T-shirts arrived as well. 99% of them look really killer, but the printer for those jacked up a few of the size S and 3X shirts. The shirt printers are not there on the weekend, so I need to wait until Monday to see what they can do. USA orders for all other sizes have shipped and I expect the rest to ship shortly. The international orders (except S and 3X) are also all packaged up, but I had a little sticker shock when I saw how much the US Post Office had raised international shipping rates. Apparently there are laws in America about the Post Office raising domestic rates, but they can charge whatever for things shipping to places as close even as Canada and Mexico. And, wow, have their postage prices gone crazy. Life is a learning experience, so I guess I learned something this weekend.

Care note for the shirts: They are brand new and made with a bleach process. The shirts have a bit of the process stuff on them before their first washing. I always wash this type of shirt by itself in the washing machine for one go round. Not sure if that is necessary, as the bleach shouldn't be active any more, but that is what I do. Once they have been washed once, you won't feel any texture at all on the shirts, just smooth fabric. The cool design is a part of the fabric, so it will never fade.

The book can still be preordered at BackerKit, but the T-shirts were a Kickstarter exclusive and are now, like the calendars, SOLD OUT.

Thanks so much for the support! Kym is on vacation because her birthday is Monday, but she is going to take some photos with the proof when she is back.

Good News from Printers!

Just wanted to send you guys a quick update.

The T-shirt printer says the shirts will start shipping in just under two weeks. The book printer says we should see our first proof in just over two weeks. Whoo-hoo! In Amelia's experience, making a book as awesome as possible usually takes a couple of rounds of proofs, but super excited to be on the home stretch!

if you have not filled out your address info yet or you have moved, please be sure to enter your info in BackerKit, so we can ship to you.

Once the books are shipping and Kym is good-to-go with updates for the private journal and photo archive, usernames and passwords will be emailed out. Logins will work both to access all of the great posts and photos and videos and to make comments.
